English cricket has experienced something of a rennaisance in recent months with Test series victories against South Africa, West Indies, New Zealand and Zimbabwe and in some quarters the cry has gone out 'bring on the Australians'.

In the summer of 2005 England's cricketers will have the chance to show whether their recent improvement has brought them closer to challenging the supremacy of Australian cricketers.
